Over a span of nearly 13 years, he dedicated himself to the renovation and revitalization of the property. In a historic moment in 2019, Chateau Fontenil made waves as the first estate in Fronsac to introduce a white Bordeaux to its portfolio.

With 11 hectares of vines boasting an average age of nearly 45 years, the estate predominantly cultivates Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The meticulous winemaking process involves fermentation in small wooden and steel vats, incorporating a touch of whole cluster fermentation. The wines are then aged in 100% French oak, with a significant 60% new oak influence.
Experience the culmination of this craftsmanship through the aging process of 15 to 18 months in 100% (60% new) French oak barrels. The resulting red wine, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, offers a unique and delightful expression that reflects the dedication and passion behind every bottle.
