Ruby red color of medium intensity, which tends to garnet upon aging. It has a characteristic perfume that is pleasant and delicate, with hints of fruit that grow in the area: cherries, marascas, and plums. The flavor is dry, bodied, slightly bitter, savory, and harmonious.
It pairs well with everyday meals. Perfect with starters, mixed cold cuts, pizza and, served fresh, even with fatty fish.
James Suckling –
“Dried strawberries and raspberries on the nose, together with hints of dried herbs, such as tarragon. There’s also an interesting, deep-set truffle-like note that adds complexity and interest. Full-bodied with intense flavor and a mix of fine oak and fruit tannin that pushes the length, but dries a little at the end. Feels a bit like a riserva. Drinkable now, but needs a year or two to absorb the tannin and oak influence. Best from 2025.”
